Faced with yet another snub on maps published by public
agencies, the people and businesses of the village of
Dulnain Bridge decided to make a noise to prove once and
for all that they exist, unlike the mythical Brig O'Doon
which came to life just once
every 100 years! A pipe band and 200 people from the village
turned out to walk from Morayshire all the way to Inverness-shire.
In reality, that is just a few hundred yards from one
side of the River Dulnain, across the high bridge to the
other - and back again! After the march, the participants
joined the pipe band for refreshments in Dulnain Bridge
Village Hall. These were supplied by 4 of Dulnain Bridge's
main businesses -
The Heather Centre; Tigh-na-Sgiath
Hotel , Muckrach
Lodge Hotel & Auchendean
Lodge B&B
